Arahova, Greece

Description:
Located at Parnassos Mountain, Arahova is a well-known winter sports destination near Athens. The new commercial center encompasses a conference center, a mini-mall and a 500-car underground parking garage. 

Products Used:
PENETRON ADMIX and PENEBAR were used to waterproof the basement slab and walls instead of PVC waterproofing membranes, due to the PENETRON System's cost effectiveness, reliability and simple application. Over 1,500m of PENEBAR SW 45 Rapid was used to waterproof the cold joints between the basement slab and vertical concrete walls.

Ara Damansara, Petailing Jaya, Malaysia

Description:
This 30,000m² (7.5 acres) wellness development features a 3-level basement, six residential blocks and two commercial tower blocks. The residential blocks follow a multi-generational concept and are the first to integrate living areas with access to wellness, including healthcare facilities such as medical spas and paediatric, chiropractic, dental services and childcare. 

Products Used:
The waterproofing requirements for a wellness environment are rigorous. The PENETRON system was specified to ensure a clean, dry environment and enhance concrete durability. Mixed into to the concrete, PENETRON ADMIX allowed a reduced base slab thickness and contributed to the BCA Green Mark Gold Plus Building classification for AraGreens by the Singapore Building and Construction Authority. About 25,000m³ of concrete substructure will be treated with PENETRON ADMIX. 67,000m² of wet areas will be treated with PENETRON and all construction joints of the substructure will be treated with PENEBAR SW-55 waterstops.

Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa

Description:
The 18-storey, energy efficient Alice Lane Office Tower in the prestigious Sandton area, north of Johannesburg features two sculpted towers linked by a vertical atrium. The building's “green” attributes are highlighted by an extensive ‘greenscape' surrounded by reflective ponds and water elements. There is also a 6-storey parking basement. 

Products Used:
The PENETRON System was specified for the ponds and all water tanks.

SALVADOR, Brazil

Description:
The Adelaide Building was built on the shores of Baia de Todos os Santos, located in Salvador, which is the most important city in the northeast region in Brazil. This building was built to accommodate 20 apartments and also features a private marina and an underground parking garage, which is 2.6m below sea level.  

Products Used:
The underground basement, with a total area of 2,500m², was completely waterproofed with PENETRON ADMIX and PENEBAR SW-55.

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Description:
A 33-floor office tower with a 3-floor basement car park, the A&B Tower is located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City’s District 1.

Products Used:
PENETRON was used to treat an area of about 6,000m², including the diaphragm wall and basement slab (from the negative side), and sealing all construction joints and leaking cracks. The walkways, plant boxes and all wet areas of office tower were sealed using PENESEAL PRO.

Sochi, Russia

Description:
The 2014 Winter Olympics was the largest single infrastructure project undertaken in Russian history.  Completing a world-class sports venue for almost 3,000 athletes from over 80 countries in less than four years included an incredible range of construction projects:

Products Used:
From the shores of the (salt water) Black Sea to the mountions above Sochi, with a geological fault system where the bedrock needed for stable construction lies at a considerable depth and the surface is mostly unstable sand, the PENETRON System of products was used to ensure durable and waterproof structures for a large number of buildings and projects that were part of the 2014 Winter Olympics.
