Seabrook Nuclear Power Plant

Seabrook is a 1,160-megawatt (net) pressurized-water nuclear reactor that provides enough electricity for about 1,000,000 homes. Located two miles inland from the New Hampshire coast, the plant uses water that is carried from the ocean to the plant via two three-mile-long underground tunnels.

Products Used:
PENETRON, PENECRETE and PENEPLUG. The underground tunnels, together with the plant foundations, underground facilities and all protective spillways were treated with the PENETRON System. In addition to the waterproofing and chemical resistance that protects the concrete, an additional benefit is a significant reduction in gamma radiation in case of an accident.

2014 Winter Olympics

The 2014 Winter Olympics was the largest single infrastructure project undertaken in Russian history.  Completing a world-class sports venue for almost 3,000 athletes from over 80 countries in less than four years included an incredible range of construction projects:

  • Saltwater harbors on the Black Sea (Adler, Matseste and Lazarevskoye harbors)
  • Train stations in Sochi, Adler and Alpica-Terminus
  • Poselkovskaya & Psou power stations
  • Ski-biathlon complex in Laura (Olympic Village)
  • Russian Hills alpine skiing facility in Russian Hills
  • Bolshoi Ice Palace (ice skating & hockey)
  • Main Olympic Village & Veseloe Village cottages
  • Electrical power plant in Krasnaya Polyana
  • Wastewater treatment plant in Adler

Products Used:
From the shores of the (salt water) Black Sea to the mountions above Sochi, with a geological fault system where the bedrock needed for stable construction lies at a considerable depth and the surface is mostly unstable sand, the PENETRON System of products was used to ensure durable and waterproof structures for a large number of buildings and projects that were part of the 2014 Winter Olympics.
