Description:
Baer Enterprises in Bowling Green, Kentucky, a home builder specialized in Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) construction, needed a product to effectively waterproof their projects, while being cost effective, easy to use and allow scheduling flexibility at the same time.
Products Used:
PENETRON ADMIX was dosed into the concrete poured inside the ICF walls. Baer continues to use PENETRON ADMIX on their ICF and conventional projects.
Description:
A new terminal-style dealership and the largest Audi facility in the world, the Audi Lighthouse is a 9-floor facility and also Audi’s Australian headquarters. The building features 12,000 square meters of commercial space, new and used car showrooms, a 20-bay service center and car parking. The waterproofing challenges included a high water table, a unique building facade, vehicular traffic areas on all levels and a large, exposed car roof deck.
Products Used:
PENETRON ADMIX was used for all below grade concrete structures (1,200m3) and PENEBAR SW 45 for all basement construction joints.
Description:
The Athlone Stadium (and training ground for the World Cup 2010) is used primarily for soccer / football matches and is the home of the Ajax Cape Town and Santos Cape Town teams. Originally built in 1972 with a 30,000 seating capacity, the stadium underwent extensive renovations in preparation for its use as a training ground for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Products Used:
The architects required a waterproof, but trafficable surface on the walkways covering the utility rooms. PENETRON was applied by brush to the designated areas.
Description:
With seating for over 46,000 people, the Arena Pernambuco in Recife (Northeastern Brazil) is used mostly for soccer matches, including the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The area around the stadium includes a university campus, indoor arena, hotel and expansive retail and residential buildings.

PENETRON ADMIX was used to waterproof the stadium walls and increase the durability of the concrete slabs of the various floors of spectator seating.
Description:
Located in Porto Alegre in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, the Arena do Grêmio is the most modern multi-use complex in Latin America. Owned by the Grêmio FB Porto-Alegrense, the stadium hosts soccer games and other big events. With a total seating capacity of 60,000, the stadium replaced the Estádio Olímpico Monumental in 2012 and meets current FIFA standards for the World Cup 2014.
Products Used:
PENETRON ADMIX was used in the concrete for the ramps around the stadium to improve water resistance. About 2,000m3 of concrete were treated with PENETRON ADMIX.
Description:
An award-winning development situated on six acres, Arcoris Mont Kiara features a 35-storey tower (including office suites and 275 hotel rooms), residential units with a pool, gym, spa and a playground, an 18-storey tower with serviced luxury apartments and a courtyard plaza boasting retail space, cafes and restaurants.
Products Used:
This project relied on PENETRON ADMIX for complete basement waterproofing and concrete protection. Approximately 6,500m3 of concrete were treated with PENETRON ADMIX and all construction joints were sealed with PENEBAR SW-55 waterstops.
