Description:
The Arena Corinthians in eastern São Paulo, Brazil, is the home stadium of the well-known Sport Club Corinthians Paulista. Newly constructed for the FIFA World Cup 2014, the venue now has a seating capacity of 48,234 (up to 68,000 with removable seats) and will host the opening match of the World Cup.
Products Used:
A completely new construction, all concrete structures in the stadium were treated with PENETRON ADMIX.
Description:
This soccer stadium, officially known as the “Complexo Esportivo Cultural Professor Octávio Mangabeira,” is located in Salvador, Bahia and has a maximum capacity of 55,000 people. In addition to the Confederations Cup 2013 and the FIFA World Cup 2014, this venue will also host the soccer events for the Summer Olympics 2016.
Products Used:
The basement slab and lower reservoirs were sealed with PENETRON ADMIX; the concrete joints were treated with PENEBAR SW-55.
Description:
This project included the water intake installations from the Rimac River, the water treatment plant at Huachipa with a nominal capacity of 10m3/s and a 27km-long water pipeline from Huachipa to Lima (Ramal Norte). It is Latin America’s largest potable water treatment plant, supplying water and sanitation services to 2.4 million people in Lima that were previously without or with very limited access to water.

The PENETRON System was used to protect and waterproof the concrete in the water treatment plant.
Description:
The site of the annual Little League World Series finals for over 50 years, the Howard Lamade Stadium has evolved from a ball field to a baseball complex with a seating capacity of 40,000. However, due to exposure to the elements, the concrete structures were badly deteriorated.
Products Used:
PENETRON ADMIX was used for the stadium reconstruction project; the existing wall that supported the concourse walkway and separated the stadium seating from the dugouts was replaced and redesigned with a new PENETRON ADMIX-treated wall and new entrance slabs. The concourse was also widened and new curb and drainage was constructed to minimize flooding of the field from the water in the stands. Additionally, drainage was improved to provide safer and easier access to stadium seating.
Description:
The Radisson Petra La Dehesa Hotel features 105 luxurious guest rooms with 24-hour room service, an indoor pool, wellness center, spa, business center and meeting hall for up to 200 people.
Products Used:
The hotel covers a total area of 12,000m2. PENETRON ADMIX was selected to waterproof and protect the below-grade concrete and was dosed at 0.8% by weight of cement at the time of batching.
Description:
Homeplus, a Korean discount store retail chain (owned by Tesco) has 113 branches throughout South Korea and is the second largest retailer in the country. This project included a large retail store and parking area on the roof of the building. Initially, a membrane solution was specified for waterproofing of the structure, but turned out to be unsuitable due to the projected volumes of traffic and future repair issues.
Products Used:
PENETRON ADMIX was used to treat 1,905m3 (2,492yd³) of concrete for the rooftop parking structure. All construction joints were sealed with PENECRETE MORTAR and PENETRON. The comprehensive success of this solution led to the use of the PENETRON technology on two additional rooftop parking structures; the Homeplus stores in Kyeongsan and Busan City.
