SHORT DESCRIPTION & APPLICATIONS 

PENETRON^® ARC is a specially designed, active, inorganic, protective coating for anaerobic conditions. It is applied to concrete surfaces in combination with PENETRON^® and PENETRON ADMIX^® P crystal growth systems where anaerobic conditions exist and produce strong acids, such as sulfuric acid in the gas zone. PENETRON^® ARC is activated by sulfuric acid, transforming the coating into a durable shell that protects and extends the life span of the concrete. It is applied to wastewater and biogas treatment plants, prefabricated concrete sewer pipes and facilities using sulfuric acid baths.

CONSUMPTION INFORMATION

The total coverage of one set (18 kg component A and 5,5 L component B) of PENETRON ARC is 11-12 m².

PENETRON^® BIOMIC is an antimicrobial admixture, added to the concrete mix at the time of batching. It creates a molecular bond with the concrete preventing its microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC). Microbes are electrophysically destroyed upon contact with concrete containing PENETRON^® BIOMIC. It protects the concrete from damage caused by hydrogen sulfide gas. It can also be used in combination with PENETRON^® ADMIX P. It is applied in biogas plants, at concrete shafts and tanks, or concrete pipes. It can be mixed for use as a microbial protection in the first layer of PENETRON^®.

CONSUMPTION INFORMATION
For prevention and protection against MIC the recommended dosage of PENETRON^® BIOMIC is 5 L/m3, replacing 5 L/m3 of water. PENETRON^® BIOMIC is added in PENETRON by 50 ml per 1,6 kg of PENETRON, in the mixing water.
